The Goal of the 30 Day Strength Building Off Season Challenge is to:
• BUILD STRENGTH.
• INCREASE ENDURANCE
• OPTIMIZE ENGINE CAPACITY
The goal is to take advantage of a long period where competition has subsided allowing you to take the time to go deep into rebuilding the engine with proper strength and endurance training. The off-season is the perfect time to build strength so when it’s time to train specific power on the bike you have increased your capacity to produce more power, and also increase the matchbook. The bigger the matchbook means the more matches you can burn and when you have plenty of matches to burn you can get through the training easier and more importantly you can get to the main event with matches left in the matchbook.
Keep in mind that during this period you will take a few steps back in performance in an effort to take two steps forward. So if you have a race within the 30 days of this challenge, then this is not for you as you will potentially be slower due to the lack of BMX racing power and speed specificity.
HOWEVER! You can do this challenge and quickly start doing the 21 Day Faster Lap Challenge and be ready to go!
