CORBEN SHARRAH’S FIRST NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WIN
In 2011 it was Corben’s first full year as an Elite. He showed the skill and the speed was starting to really blossom. He had the vision to win and he started to get hot after his first big pro win was at a UCI World Cup in South Africa. The following week was the USA Cycling National Championships and it didn’t stop there. He lost one lap that day and it was in a semi to David Herman. Both of those guys were the fastest down the first straight and around the track that day and most days in training on the Beijing replica track.
Gate is starting to drop, we have Jared Garcia in 8, Tyler Faoro, David Herman, John Woodmansey, Tyler Brown, Denzel Stein, Corben Sharrah and Nic Long in lane 1.
Out of turn one and over the technical step up, Corben gets by and it’s pretty much over from there. David and Tyler road an awesome lap where they battled cleanly all the way to the line.
Corben has put a gap on second place, and takes home his first Pro title.
