Former BMX Pro Dr. Jason Richardson gives you his insight on how to secretly win the race in the video above.
The BMX Coach Greg Romero will like to add to Dr. Jason Richardson’s awesome view on how to win: Winning races physically is hard work, hard preparation and takes time. But, you can start winning mentally based on how you carry yourself, understand that if you get on the gate, you have an opportunity to win and that is a victory in itself as most riders beat themselves before they even get on the gate. AS DR JASON RICHARDSON SITES “belief is something that needs to be practiced.” How do you believe? Well, it starts with perception, focusing on your strengths on the track and understanding how to use those strengths to your advantage. If you focus on what you don’t have or focus on your weaknesses, then you will dwell on that and your mental confidence will quickly drop as you validate those weak thoughts. It’s really that simple! You have to train the brain by keeping it in the zone of positivity, and you do it while you train! Come prepared to give your best fight, not a protected fight where you clam up in your shell.
